Lightweight Bertha™ .050 aluminum storm panels are the smart starter solution for hurricane-rated protection: pre-mounted headers and sills are installed once, then the panels themselves slide into place ahead of a storm. They're available in clear or aluminum panels and lightweight enough for one person to install.
Despite the friendly price, storm panels are built to the same impact certification as our accordion and roll systems. They're also the easiest system to add to over time — start with storm panels everywhere, then upgrade specific openings (master bedroom windows, front entries) to roll-downs or accordions when the budget allows.
