Built to code, built for life

Impact-certified.
Dade-County rated.
Locally tested.

Our shutters are tested to the same standards used in South Florida — the most demanding hurricane code in the country. We carry impact-certified Bertha™ aluminum products, custom-cut and installed by full-time crews who've spent decades fitting them to Carolina and Georgia coastal homes.

Beyond storm protection, hurricane shutters add daily security, year-round UV control, and serious resale value. Most coastal insurance carriers offer significant premium discounts for impact-certified installations — often paying back a portion of the install cost over the policy life.

  • Impact & Dade-County certified product lines
  • Florida Building Code-approved roll-down slats
  • Saltwater-rated locking systems on accordions
  • Manual or motorized operation, depending on system

01 — Bahama Shutters

The iconic island look.

Sometimes called Bermuda shutters, Bahama shutters add a true coastal aesthetic to your home. They're top-hinged and prop open at an angle — providing shade and ventilation on calm days and an extra layer of privacy or storm protection when closed. They cover the entire window when down.

We carry three Bahama profiles: a thin Z-blade, a 2" low-profile blade, and a high-visibility fixed-louver hurricane-rated version with telescoping arms. Frames are powder-coated aluminum with stainless-steel fasteners, available in any standard or custom RAL color.

  • Telescoping or fixed support arms
  • Hurricane-rated option (high-visibility fixed louvers)
  • Powder-coated aluminum, stainless fasteners
  • Standard + custom RAL colors
  • Can also serve as porch shade structures

02 — Roll-Down Shutters

Fastest deployment.
Cleanest profile.

Roll-down shutters use horizontal aluminum slats that drop from a discreet header box installed above each opening. With manual or fully-motorized operation, you can be storm-ready at the press of a button — and the rest of the year, the system is hidden in its housing.

The slats themselves come in multiple Florida Building Code-approved profiles, and the entire assembly is finished in a powder-coated marine-grade coating. Roll-downs also double as a daily security shutter — a real plus for ground-floor openings and beach-house second homes.

  • Manual hand-crank or full motorization with remote
  • FBC-approved aluminum slat profiles
  • Smart-home integration on motorized systems
  • Doubles as a security shutter when closed
  • Discreet header box matches your home's trim

03 — Colonial Shutters

Lowcountry style.
Storm-ready substance.

Side-hinged Colonial shutters frame the window in classic Lowcountry style and swing closed for storms — the architectural choice for historic homes from Charleston to Savannah. Open, they decorate the elevation. Closed and latched, they're a certified hurricane barrier.

We build Colonials in fixed-louver, operable-louver, or solid-panel configurations, all in marine-grade aluminum with stainless hardware. They're approved for High-Velocity Hurricane Zones.

  • Fixed louver, operable louver, or solid panel
  • Marine-grade powder-coated aluminum
  • Approved for High-Velocity Hurricane Zones
  • Best fit for traditional + historic architecture

04 — Storm Panels

The most economical protection.

Lightweight Bertha™ .050 aluminum storm panels are the smart starter solution: pre-mounted headers and sills are installed once, then the panels themselves slide into place ahead of a storm. Compact storage, real protection, friendly price.

Available in aluminum or clear panels, the panels are lightweight enough for one person to install, but built to the same impact certification as accordion and roll systems. They're also the easiest system to add later — start with storm panels, then upgrade specific openings to roll-downs over time.

  • Bertha™ .050 lightweight aluminum panels
  • Pre-mounted headers + sills for quick deploy
  • Compact off-season storage
  • Clear or aluminum panels
  • Most affordable hurricane-rated option

05 — Accordion Shutters

The all-in-one.
Slides closed in seconds.

Bertha™ High-Velocity accordion shutters slide closed across each opening like interior draperies — one person can secure an entire home in under five minutes. The blades are impact-certified aluminum with a saltwater-rated locking system, and the whole assembly stows on either side of the opening when not in use.

Accordions are the favorite of beach-house second homes, where the owner may not be on-property when a storm is forecast — a single trusted neighbor or property manager can have the home buttoned up in minutes.

  • Bertha™ High-Velocity impact-certified aluminum
  • Saltwater-rated locking system
  • White, beige, ivory, or bronze finishes
  • Stows compactly on either side of opening
  • One person can secure a whole home in <5 min
